Begun as a re-leveling, re-grading
and lawn installing project, this project transformed
into a greater recreation of space as a level, upraised
lawn space surrounded by lush gardens of 'Little Gem'
Magnolia, Japanese Maples, banana trees and large
bamboo—the creation of much rich texture and color.
We utilized the existing grading with tiered limestone
planters to add dimension and drama to a simple
walk-thru. The plantings provide screening (a large
concern of the client), a more formal sense of beauty,
and a peaceful, meditative space from the nearby
screened patio where the client likes to relax.
